Where To Have a Honeymoon

Deciding where to spend your honeymoon should not be taken lightly. The time you spend together on your first vacation as a married couple should create memories that will last ‘until death do you part’. You will undoubtedly be bombarded with suggestions from everyone. Your friends, family members and travel agents will all tell you where that ‘perfect honeymoon destination’ is located. Truth be told, it is only you and your future spouse that really know where that place will be.

Long in advance of your wedding date you should discuss what would make the perfect honeymoon for you. Use your knowledge of your partner to make suggestions as to what would make your time together special. You may think that everyone must spend their time together while on a honeymoon soaking up sun rays in a tropical paradise. Your spouse to be may have envisioned a ski trip to a secluded chateau in Switzerland.

Think about the time that you have spent together before you decided to marry. What were the activities that you so thoroughly enjoyed doing together that you came to know that this was the person that you wanted to spend the rest of your life with?

Was it the adrenaline that pumped through your veins while you were mountain biking together? A honeymoon in the great Rocky Mountains may be for you. Was it the laughter you shared while playing together at the local fair? A luxury resort in Walt Disney World may bring you more closely together. Perhaps it was the first time that you held your soul mate after a brisk swim at the lake. The tropics of the Caribbean may indeed make for the perfect backdrop to start your lives together.

What it boils down to is the simple fact that no one can tell you where the perfect honeymoon spot is located. That spot can only be found in your collective hearts.
